One of my altered birdhouses. I started with a plain birdhouse, and papered it, then I started to embellish it with a key and this cute little door knob I got at a yard sale. It was so cute, I was wondering what I was going to use it on, well now I know. It was made for it. Then I added flowers, feathers, buttons, a bird and fringes. The bottom is a candle holder. It is embellished front back and sides.
My second birdhouse I altered. I got it at a yard sale for 1$. I also papered this one. I painted the roof pink and the trim celery green. Then I started to embellish it. You name it and it's on their. It's very shabby. So far that's all the birdhouses, but I hope I can find more to alter.
