Halloween Altered Boxes

This is the lid of the box I altered into Halloween. I love the owl on the lid and the fancy braid around  the lid.

This is the inside of the box, not a real good picture.

A close up of the lid inside.

Another box I did for Halloween. This one has a skeleton hand on the top with some other embellishments.

Repurposed

I think this was a tool carrier, not sure. I got it at a yard sale, it was brown, so I painted it antique white and distressed it. For now I have lace in it.

I posted this on my blog before, but now I am using it for lace. I bought it at the thrift shop and it was brown. I painted it and distressed it.

This shelf was put out for the trash, and I gathered it up and brought it home. It was UGLY. Dark brown, I really did not like that. So I painted it antique white and distressed it. It fits perfect in the corner of my bedroom. And yes that is a tv antenna, I don't have cable.

I covered a pillow I had with this French country material. I do not sew, so I attached it with fabric glue. Works for me.

I bought this candle holder at the thrift store, it was a brownish copper color. I did like it, but decided to paint it and distress it. Then I covered it in glitter, turned out real nice.

This fireplace holder was also out for the trash. I needed something to hang a wreath on at craft shows, and I could see this being used for that. I painted it green and crackled it. And in the next picture you will see it in use.

And here we are. What do you think? I think it will work. I didn't want to pay 12$'s for a wreath  stand. So this was a lot better. FREE.

Old piano stool I got at a yard sale. I really wish I had taken before pictures of all this stuff, but I didn't. I have to work on that. I painted it and distressed it then decoupaged music paper to the seat.

Close up of the seat.

A coffee can I papered, added lace and a button. I will use it for a planter.

Bought this bird cage at a yard sale for 1.00. It was a ugly blue. It is not old, maybe 60's, the bottom is plastic. So I painted it pink. I am thinking of using it to plant flowers in and sit on the patio next year. At least that is the plan, that could change. Hope you enjoyed the pictures, sorry I did not have before pictures.

Shabby chic

The ladder in this picture, was my dad's. I painted it antique white and distressed it. I have some of my bears sitting on it, an old puzzle in the box and a lantern. I have a trellis behind it with lights on it, I have lights every where, I love lots of lights.

I love this little shabby lantern. I change the inside with the seasons. Right now I have a pair of my daughter's baby shoes in it with a teddy bear some pearls and lace.

Wicker

As you all know, I just love wicker, so when I saw this wicker table at the thrift store, I knew I had to have it. And I really love it.

This is a close up of  the top of the table.

Altered Clip Board

I picked this clip board up at a yard sale for .25 cents, brought it home and started to alter it. I added a printable that I got off of pinterest of roses and words in the back ground, I added lace, flowers, feathers, keys and buttons. I love doing this kind of crafts Hope you enjoyed the blog.

Altered Bottles

I am starting to make holiday items for up coming craft shows, and also for on my Etsy board. I altered this green bottle with different halloween paper, added cheese cloth, glitter, spider, skeleton head and some old jewels.

Picture of a different side.

Another side.

And another side.

And this is the top.

Tussie Mussie/ Victorian Cones

I covered this cone in music paper material. I added lace, pearls, flowers and a musical note pin.

This is a close up of what is in the top of the cone.

This is one  I really like. I like the vintage look of it. I wrapped the cone in a light colored, it looks like burlap, but it is a closer weave. I added a french script paper and then I added a old picture, which I burnt the edges of. Added lace, pearls, a broach, buttons, key and flowers.

A close up of the inside of the cone.

The picture I added to the cone, which I burnt the edges.
