Garage Sale finds

This is my finds from this morning. I liked the old ash tray, I will do something with it, I know I will paint it, as for what else to do with it, not sure. I will redo the little table. Got two doily's, and alot of lace trims. A box of knobs and hardware. And a antique hand picker. A candle.

This is the box of knobs and hardware.

The doily's and lace trim, and the hand picker. I really like that, and I won't do anything to that.

I liked this little bottle. I may put hat pins in the top. Right now it is in my kitchen.

A close up of the ash tray. I know it is old, but not in great shape, that's why I don't mind re doing it. I respect antiques, and if they are in great shape, I won't do anything to them.

Dressform

My dressform that I bought at the Antique Market's open house. The lace top I have on it is Liz Claiborne, and it is new, I bought it at the thrift shop for 4$'s. It's beautiful. The necklace I made. And the crystal one is from my grandmother.

Just another view. The black crystal necklace is from my grandmother. I really do like the lace top. I must wear it sometime.

Repurposed

I bought this wicker magazine holder at the thrift store for 3$'s. The before picture.

The after picture.

I bought this at the Antique Market's open house. This is the before picture.

This is the after picture. I painted it and distressed it, then papered the bottoms with a victorian paper.

This is it with jewelry in it. Not sure if this is how I will use it, but for now, this is what is in it. Some of the jewelry that is in it, is my mom's and my grandmother's.

Another close up of it.

This little chair was brown, I painted it basil green and distressed it. One of my bears will sit on it.

Two glass garden art pieces I made. I still have more projects to do. Waiting for the weather to be nice.

Birdcage

A picture of  my birdcage that I bought at work. I added the lace, of course it needs lace, and the flowers and ivy. It has a candle in it w/ a timer. I think it looks shabby chic.

The same birdcage, only at night. I have it on my porch for the summer, then I will take it inside for winter.

Altered things

The next few pictures will be of frames I redone. This one I painted and distressed it. Added french script paper and a doily and a key.

One of these I painted and distressed the frame, added music paper, doily, key and a key hole. The other one I crackled, added blue paper doily, key and key hole.

Both of these frames I crackled, added the paper and doily's and the keys.

The next few pictures will be of burlap bags that I did. This one I added lace and a lace flower with a pin in the center.

I did this one a lot different, by adding a picture and roses, buttons and of course some lace.

I printed the picture off of the computer. I love wicker and the babies are in a wicker buggy. I added lace buttons and a key.

I had all these square boxes of different shapes. So I papered them in a victorian paper, and trimmed them in lace.

Now for the next project. I started doing cans. This one is crackled and then I decorated it.

Three other cans I decorated. I guess now I will be saving cans. Just the ones that are different sizes.

Antique birdcage

This is what I bought at the mud sale. I really wanted it. Love it.

A close up of the birdcage. It is so neat.

Yard sales

On Sat. Laurie and I went to a vintage yard sale. This is what I bought. In the front is vintage hardware, then a doily, a vintage metal tray(not sure what I am going to use it for), and in the back are my vintage dishes, which I just love.

This is a close up of m dishes. They are trimmed in 22kar. gold. So no putting them in the microwave.

I bought this last year at a yard sale for 3$'s. I was going to repurpose it, but not sure. If I do I will post a picture of it. But as for now, not sure.
